CM Pinarayi Vijayan hails Kerala spirit, appeals Malayalees to contribute one-month salary

Thiruvananthapuram, Aug 27: Invoking the spirit of Kerala, in an emotional appeal, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged Malayalees to offer one- month salary to rebuild god’s own country.
On the backdrop of auspicious Onam, the Chief Minister in a Facebook post requested Malayalee diaspora around the world to come forward for the betterment of Kerala after the devastating Floods that claimed lives of several innocent citizens.
Citing the humongous loss of Rs. 19,512 crore, Vijayan requested non-resident Malayalees to contribute open-heartedly in order to rebuild the coastal state which has been hit by the worst floods in the century. CM also suggested that those who are not in a position to make a lump sum donation can instead do it in small installments.
