Jharkhand touches ribbon of distributing nearly 8.5 lakh gas connections under Ujjwala Yojana

Ranchi, August 28: Jharkhand gave Rakshabandhan gift to 1000 women of the state by giving them gas connection under Ujjwala Yojana. By this Jharkhand becomes the first state to distribute 8,44,729 Under this scheme, Jharkhand was targeted to distribute 8,19,162 gas connections. But in the two and a half months, there were 8,44,729 gas connections in the state. A total of 39,30,931 connections were received in 18 states during the two-and-a-half month period.


 

Beneficiaries do not need to spend money to take advantage of this scheme. This service is free. The connection is given only on the basis of the necessary documents. The government has to spend Rs 3436 in a connection, which is available to the beneficiaries for free.

During this occasion, CM Raghubar Das said that Jharkhand is the first state for the empowerment of women, where women's assets of Rs.50 lakhs are registered only in rupees one. He also said that for the economic empowerment of women, women are being trained for self-employment.

He told the people that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced in his address on August 15 that the Prime Minister's Health Insurance Scheme will be launched by the Prime Minister on September 25 on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayan Upadhyay for free treatment of poor people.
