CM Manohar Parrikar appeals to donate to Kerala relief fund; opens bank account

Panaji, August 29: The state of Kerala has been devastated by floods and rain causing loss to human life, destruction of properties, roads etc. This is a human tragedy and Goans should reach out to our brethren in this hour of crises. The government of Goa has therefore opened an account namely ‘Chief Minister of Goa, Kerala Relief Fund’ bearing account number 37896464050. The chief minister has appealed to the people of Goa to donate humbly to the Kerala relief fund. The amount can be deposited in any of the branches of the State Bank of India in the state by way of cash, cheque, ECS, NEFT, RTGS etc.

On Thursday, Goa gave its helping hand to flood-affected state Kerala by announcing financial assistance of Rs 5 crore. Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar took this decision of helping the state.

 

Along with this, several states of India have come forward extending a helping hand with providing financial assistance to Kerala. Maharashtra, Odisha, Assam, Delhi, Bihar, Tamil Nadu and many others have contributed for this noble cause helping thousands resettle their lives to normalcy.
