Kerala needs more help from Centre: Congress President Rahul Gandhi

Kochi, Aug 29: Congress National President Rahul Gandhi who is on two-day Kerala visit has asked Central government to extend more financial aid for the coastal state.

Speaking to the media, Gandhi slammed BJP led central government for not doing enough to address the issues faced by Kerala. He stated that the people of Kerala who are suffering from unprecedented floods need more support and resources from the central government. The National President urged respective agencies to ensure the proper allocation of Compensation and other aid as early as possible.

When asked about the causes of Kerela floods, the Amethi MP asked people not to politicize the matter. In his Kerala visit, Gandhi Visited relief camps and interacted with flood-affected citizens and took the stock of ongoing rescue and rehabilitation operation.
