Actor and Telugu Desam Party leader Nandamuri Harikrishna dies in road mishap

Hyderabad, August 29: Nandamuri Harikrishna, senior actor and, TDP leader today died in a road mishap near Telangana's Nalgonda district. The horrifying accident took place Narketpally on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway.
The 61-year-old Harikrishna was the son of former AP Chief Minister Nandamuri Tarak Rama Rao (NTR) and brother-in-law of Telugu Desam Party Chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu. A former Rajya Sabha leader, Harikrishna was the Politburo Member of TDP.
Harikrishna is the father of famous actor Jr NTR and brother of actor-political Nandamuri Balakrishna and former Union Minister and BJP leader D Purandareshwari.
The former Minister was well known for his firefly speeches. In 2014, Harikrishna had voiced against the AP bifurcation bill introduced by the then UPA government.
Vice President M Venkaiah, Naidu Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu and Telangana Chief Minister KCR, YSR Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy expressed grief over Nandamuri Harikrishna’s death.
