Each and every citizen of India knows that the Kashmiri separatists have a direct link with Pakistan, Pakistani authorities and Pak-based terror organizations and terrorists. But so far none of the separatists have confessed this. However, a jail term for Aasiya Andrabi forced her to confess links with Pakistani authorities and chief of terror groups.

The NIA probing in Kashmir terror funding on Thursday said, “During the interrogation, Dukhtaran-e-Millat Chief Aasiya Andrabi claimed of being in regular touch with the former PM of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif and often spoke to his foreign policy adviser Sartaz Aziz and UN-designated terrorists Hafiz Saeed and Syed Salahuddin.”

In her confession, Aasia added that conspiracy against India on the Kashmir issue used to take place in the Pakistan High Commission at New Delhi. She further revealed that several Kashmiri separatist including Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Syed Ali Shah Geelani and others have close relations with Pakistan and used to visit the high commission on a regular basis.

Aasiya also disclosed that in the year 2015, the then Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif had written a letter to her condoling the death of her mother. Even she had written him a letter saying that Pakistan wasn't serious on the issue of Kashmir. On November 28, 2015 Asiya’s mother died.

Aasiya further confessed to have a regular meetings or telephonic conversations with former ISI chief Hamid Gul, Jamaat ud dawa Chief Hafiz Saeed, Pakistani diplomat Abdul Basit and Pakistan Foreign Minister Sartaz Aziz over Kashmir issue.

The NIA has also come to know about the existence of four Whatsaap group which has around 400 members. The groups including Dukhtaran-e-Millat, Kashmir Media, Pak Media Group and Free Kashmir are operated by Andrabi's close associate Fehmeeda Sofi who is also the admin of the groups.

On July 16 this year, Aasiya Andrabi with her two associates Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi were sent to one-month judicial custody by a Delhi court in connection with a case of allegedly waging war against the country with support from Pakistan.

The NIA had claimed that the investigation revealed that Aasyia Andrabi and her two associates were running a concerted campaign to gain support from the neighbouring country and accused them of being involved in conspiracy and acts to destabilize the sovereignty and integrity of India.

The NIA, on directions of the Union Home Ministry, registered a case against them as well as the organization named Dukhtaran-e-Millat, which is banned under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, in April this year.

According to the FIR, the "central government has received information that Aasiya Andrabi and her associates namely Sofi Fehmeeda and Nahida Nasreen are actively running a terrorist organization named as 'Dukhtaran-E-Millat' (DEM) which is proscribed under the First Schedule to the UAPA".

"They are using various media platforms to spread insurrectionary imputations and hateful speeches that endanger the integrity, security and sovereignty of India. DEM through Aasiya Andrabi openly advocates secession of Jammu and Kashmir from the Union of India and has also called for Jihad and use of violence against India," the FIR alleged.

The agency also said in the FIR that Andrabi and her associates had spoken, written and also published "visible representations that bring into hatred and contempt apart from exciting disaffection towards the Government of India".

On July 6 this year, NIA clamped down on the pampered pro- Pakistani elements and arrested Aasiya Andrabi with her two associates Nahida Nasreen and Fehmeeda Sofi.
