He was none other than Kishore Kumar who is considered one of the jewels in the field of cinema. On his 89th birth anniversary, still, we recollect his contributions to Indian Cinema which has made it a glory.


 

We can say that he was an all-rounder because he was a playback singer, actor, lyricist, composer, producer, director, and screenwriter. In one or the other way he has given memorable things to us like from soft numbers to peppy tracks to romantic moods, Kumar sang in different genres.

Two living legends of our industry Singer Lata Mangeshkar and Bollywood veteran Actor Amitabh Bachchan paid their tributes to this legend in their ways.

Lata Didi tweeted, “Rich in multi-dimension, Kishore Kumar, today is his birth anniversary. Our relation as a brother-sister was very deep. Kishore Da and his talks still are remembered by me. Here is the first song which we had together recorded.” With this tweet, she has uploaded the song ‘Yeh Kaun Aaya re’ of the movie Ziddi (1948).

 

In the same manner last year she has tweeted that ‘Greetings. Its birth anniversary of Kishore da. He was as good a person as a singer. He is always missed.’

Now the love from the acting field, senior veteran actor, man of the millennium, Amitabh Bachchan paid his tribute to Kishore Da saying,” 4th August, birth Anniversary of Kishore Kumar .. a versatile genius .. One of the highest achievements for Kishore Kumar was that he had won eight Filmfare Awards for Best Male Playback Singer and holds the record for winning the most Filmfare Awards in that category.
