AP Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu to donate organs

 

Addressing the programme on the occasion of International Organ and Tissue Donation Awareness Week, Naidu said that people should join the noble drive of organ donation.

Lauding the efforts of Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA), Babu said that citizens should come forward to discuss organ donation. He further added that society should shun the pre-conceived notions about the same.

According to state officials, near about 1.20 lakh people have been registered under the banner of "Jeevandan"- a government flagship programme for organ donation.

On sensitizing people, the Chief Minister informed that lessons on organ donation will be introduced in state academics. Marking the occasion of Organ Donation Day, the TDP National President urged people across the state to support the Organ donation campaign.
