Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani launches digital platform ‘181 Abhayam’ for women security

 

‘181 Abhayam’ Mobile Application was designed by the Department of Women & Child Development Department in collaboration with GVK-EMRI.

On this occasion, Law Minister Pradipsinh Jadeja, of Women & Child Development Vibhavari Dave and other officials were present.

The newly launched platform allows women in danger to seek help by just shaking of mobile phone or pressing the panic button. With this application, women can share the videos or photographs for quick action against the culprits.

‘181 Abhayam’ will ensure immediate assistance to women in distress and curb violence against women. A fully equipped helpline center will coordinate and resolve the complaints received from ‘181 Abhayam’. According to state officials, near about four-lakh complaints have been resolved by ‘181 Abhayam’.
