Ajay Devgn on-board for Indian 2: Kamal Haasan

 

Earlier, several media reports were surface about Ajay Devgn’s alleged role in Indian 2. After wrapping the schedules of Bigg Boss 2, most probably in September, Haasan will join the sets of Indian 2. The Project will be bankrolled by Lyca Production. If media reports are anything to go by, young composer Anirudh Ravichander will look after the music department whereas Nayantara has been finalized for the sequel of the award-winning flick.

After the gap of five years, Kamal Haasan’s pet project Vishwaroopam 2 which will hit the screen on August 10. Vishwaroopam series is a brainchild of Kamal Haasan where he plays the character of an espionage agent Wisam Ahmed Kashmiri. Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam 2 was shot in Tamil and Hindi and dubbed in Telugu and Malayalam.

Indian 2 might be the last film of Kamal Haasan. On several occasions, the national award winning actor stated that he would quite cinema in order to serve the people of Tamil Nadu. Indian 2 which is under pre-production stage will be the Launchpad for politician Kamal Haasan.

The 1996 National Film Award-winning social drama narrates the story of a freedom fighter who fight against the corrupt system. Besides Kamal, the film also starred actress Manisha Koirala and Urmila Matondkar. Currently, director Shankar is busy with the post-production of Rajanikanth-Akshay Kumar starrer 2.0, the most anticipated movie of Superstar Rajanikanth.
