New Delhi, Aug 7: Union Minister Smriti Irani today slammed Congress President Rahul Gandhi over his comments on women in RSS and BJP.
Launching a fierce attack on Congress President Rahul Gandhi, the Union Minister said, “India’s Defence Minister is a lady, External Affairs Minister is a lady and Lok Sabha Speaker is a lady.” She further added that Gandhi’s irresponsible comments indicate the ugly approach of the grand old party.
Earlier in the day, while addressing the gathering of 'Mahila Adhikar Sammelan' in Talkatora Stadium here, Gandhi took a swipe at Prime Minister Narendra Modi for keeping mum on crimes against women and children in the country.
He went on saying that BJP and RSS do not have any respect for women which sparked the controversy. Gandhi added that there was no place for women in the country to join the RSS.
