Ensuring transparency, Uttar Pradesh nods for CBI probe in Deoria Shelter Home Case

Lucknow, August 8: The country was shaken when Muzzafarpur Shelter Home Case made the shocking news. Exposing the horrific incidence of Deoria Shelter Home Case coming into the limelight, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took a quick action by removing the District Magistrate. In another development of the case, the state has recommended CBI probe in the matter to ensure transparency in the issue.

Speaking to the media on the horrendous incidence of Deoria, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said, State government has decided to hand over the case to CBI to ensure a transparent probe. The Chief Minister further added that the state government has also constituted a special investigation team (SIT) to ensure that there is no tampering of evidence. Headed by ADG (crime), SIT will also have women police officers and they will be assisted by STF.

 

The Chief Minister informed that the orders have already been issued to shift the girls recovered from the shelter home to Varanasi in a secure manner. Ensuring the safety and security of the girls, the Uttar Pradesh government said that the police are making all efforts to locate the missing children from the shelter home in Deoriya.

 

Having a strong hold over stern remarks on enabling transparency at every step, the role of the officers included in this investigation has also been kept under surveillance. The woman and child welfare Minister of Uttar Pradesh Rita Bahuguna Joshi said that strict action will be taken against those found guilty of negligence or connivance in the alleged sexual exploitation case.

As of now, the police have seized the shelter home, the police have also nabbed three accused which included the two managers who were identified as Girija Tripathi and Mohan Tripathi and the President identified as Kanchanlata of the shelter home.
