Adamant attitude of Congress damaging Opposition's unity: AAP Leader Sanjay Singh

New Delhi, Aug 9: Expressing displeasure over Congress party’s approach during Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh that none other than Congress is the biggest obstacle in Opposition's unity.

His comments came on the backdrop of Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman election where AAP opted out from voting. As quoted by ANI, Earlier, when asked about AAP’s move on Congress candidate BK Hariprasad, Singh said, “If Rahul Gandhi asks AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal for party's vote then we will support them, else we are not interested in voting in their support”.

NDA Candidate Harivansh Narayan Singh with 125 votes emerged victorious in the crucial poll. BK Hariprasad got 105 votes. Parties like TRS, BJD voted in favor of NDA’s Harivansh Narayan Singh whereas former NDA partner Telugu Desama extended support to UPA’s BK Hariprasad.
