Kamal Haasan’s much-anticipated espionage thriller Vishwaroopam 2 will hit the screens tomorrow

Chennai, Aug 9: After the long gap of five years, the stage is set for veteran actor Kamal Haasan’s much anticipated, high-stake Vishwaroopam 2. The high octane espionage thriller will hit the screens tomorrow. Vishwaroopam series sheds light on international politics and global terrorism.

Written and directed by Kamal Haasan, Vishwaroopam is the story of an army officer turned Raw agent wisam Ahmad Kashmiri. Post political foray, Vishwaroopam 2 will be the first movie of Makkal Needhi Maiam founder.

In 2013, the first part of Vishwaroopam came under fire for showing a particular community in a bad light. Anticipating the law and problem, the then Chief Minister J Jayalalitha had stalled the releases of Haasan’s dream project.

In his recent media interaction, the actor turned Politician openly blamed Jayalalitha for stalling his film. He stated that Jayalalitha took the extreme step out of political revenge.

On June 11, the action-packed trailer of Vishwaroopam 2 was released on various social media platforms. Amir Khan had released the Hindi version of Vishwaroopam 2 where Tamil and Telugu trailers were shared by Shruti Haasan and Jr NTR respectively.

Besides Kamal Haasan, the film also stars, Rahul Bose, Pooja Kumar Andrea Jeremiah Shekhar Kapur, Nasser, Jaideep Ahlawat, Wahida Rehman. Music is composed by Ghibran and Shamdat Sainudeen is the director of photography.

Vishwaroopam 2 is being bankrolled by Raajkamal Films International in assassination with Aascar Ravichandran's Aascar Films. Director Rohit Shetty and Reliance Entertainment will present Hindi version. The film was shot in Tamil and Hindu and also dubbed in Telugu.

After Vishwaroopam 2, most probably in September, Haasan will join the sets of Indian 2, helmed by director Shankar. The Project will be bankrolled by Lyca Production. If media reports are anything to go by, young composer Anirudh Ravichander will look after the music department whereas Nayantara has been finalized for the sequel of the award-winning flick.

Indian 2 might be the last film of Kamal Haasan. On several occasions, the national award winning actor stated that he would quite cinema in order to serve the people of Tamil Nadu.
