Maoist cadre with 4 militants nabbed by BSF in Odisha

Koraput, September 10: A hardcore Maoist cadre along with four other militias was nabbed by the Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at Machakunda in Koraput district on Sunday.


 

The arrested Maoist has been identified as Rama Pangi (22) of Bachelpadar under Chitrakonda police limits in the district. Pangi was an active cadre of Gumma AC under Malkangiri Koraput Vishakha Border (MKVB) Division of AOBSZC and was carrying a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head.

Acting of specific inputs of BSF intelligence department, the BSF troops launched a search operation at Hanumal village under Machakunda police limits and apprehended Pangi along with four other militias. It may be mentioned here that recently, a female hardcore Maoist cadre, Nayana Khillo of the same group also surrendered before the BSF.

BSF will continue its efforts in the given area of responsibility for more apprehension and surrender of Maoists in coming days, a communiqué of the BSF said.
