2-day conference on Good Governance in Bhopal wraps up today

Bhopal, September 11: On the concluding day of the two-day conference on Good Governance in Bhopal, experts will discuss various ways for the overall development of aspirational districts today. Central government's Department of Administrative Reforms and Madhya Pradesh government are jointly organizing the conference with Focus on Aspirational Districts.


 

Delegates of 12 states and 2 union territories including Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Punjab, Haryana, and Jharkhand are participating in the conference. More from our correspondent:

Secretary department of administrative reforms and public grievances’ K P Epen and Chief Secretary of Madhya Pradesh B P Singh will present their views before concluding ceremony of the conference.

During the daylong sessions on the first day, experts expressed that the Agriculture and Education sectors cover a major portion of the population. There is a need to make a work plan and implement it in accordance with the local needs so that the benefits of the schemes of both these areas reach the lowest level.

Experts also suggested that technology can be used in both these areas so that the benefits of good governance based schemes can reach out to the far-flung areas of the country.

Presentations were also given by the delegates of various states including Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh on the application of information and communication technology in the area of school education.
