Opposition members meet Telangana Governor ESL Narasimhan, demands president's rule

Hyderabad, Sept 12: Demanding free and fair elections in upcoming assembly polls of Telangana, opposition parties on Tuesday called on Governor ESL Narasimhan and pitched for president's rule.

A delegation, comprising leaders of Telugu Desam Party, Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi and Communist Party of India met Telangana Governor and expressed concern over the alleged misuse of state agencies. On the recommendation of Telangana cabinet, Governor ESL Narasimhan had dissolved the state assembly.

Speaking to the media, Telangana Congress Chief Uttam Kumar Reddy said that KCR should not be allowed to function as the caretaker Chief Minister. He maintained that recent arrest of two senior Congress leaders indicates the agenda of TRS Party.
