Operation All-Out gets massive fillip in JK; security forces eliminated 8 terrorists in separate encounters

Srinagar, September 14: Operation All-Out continues to get massive success in Jammu and Kashmir. In a big breakthrough, security forces on Thursday eliminated eight terrorists belonged to Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) terror outfit in separate operations in Kupwara, Baramulla and Reasi district of the valley. The body of all eight slain terrorists along with arms and ammunition were recovered from the encounter spots.

 

Security forces firstly foiled an infiltration bid by a group of terrorists in Keran sector of Kupwara district near the LoC. After noticing the suspected movements along the LoC, security forces fired upon infiltrators heavily and eliminated at least three terrorists. The bodies of the slain terrorists were recovered and search operation launched.


On the other side, the troopers of Indian Army, CRPF and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a search operation jointly after receiving the specific input of presence of an unspecified number of terrorists in Reasi district of the valley.

In an encounter, three terrorists belonging to Jaish-e-Mohammad were eliminated. While police superintendent Mohan Lal and 8 police personnel were injured. The injured include 5 CRPF jawans and 3 police officers.


In another encounter in Sopore in Baramulla, two Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorists were eliminated. From the encounter site, some ammunition, bombs and suspicious material have all been seized. The terrorists killed have been identified as Ali and Zia ur Rahman and they hail from Pakistan. Ali was the mastermind of IED blast in Sopore that took place on 6th January this year in which 4 policemen were martyred.


Meanwhile, in central of Ganderbal district, state police arrested local terrorist Rauf Ahmad and another belonging to another terror organization.

Former DGP of Jammu and Kashmir, SP Vaid in a tweet said, “Congratulations to SF & J&K Police on neutralisation of 8 terrorists in last 2 days, well done boys.”


This comes a day after security forces including a team of Indian Army along with Army sniffer dogs and quadcopters and personnel of Jammu and Kashmir police launched a search operation after receiving a specific input in the Manowala forest in Rajouri district and busted a terrorist hideout and seized huge cache of arms and ammunition.

The recovery included two AK-56 rifles, six pistols along with a magazine, under-barrel grenade launcher, radio set, satellite phone and a large quantity of assorted ammunition. On Tuesday this week, two Lashkar terrorists were eliminated in Jammu and Kashmir.

Importantly, under Operation-All Out, a total of 134 terrorists belonged to Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM), Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Al Badr, Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind have been eliminated in the first eight months of this year i.e from January 1 to August 31. While in the month of August, 25 terrorists were eliminated which is highest in a month this year.
