Capturing every moment, PM Modi celebrates his 68th birthday with school children in Varanasi

New Delhi, September 17: Capturing each and every moment to cherish, garnering ample of wishes from all over the world, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will celebrate his 68th birthday in his constituency of Varanasi on September 17. The Prime Minister will spend the day with schoolchildren from villages located in the district.

The PM Modi will stay in Varanasi for two days on 17 and 18 September and apart from spending an evening watching a movie with children, he will also launch various development projects on Tuesday.

This is for the first time that the Prime Minister will celebrate his birthday in his constituency. After reaching Varanasi Monday afternoon PM Modi will visit Naruar village of Rohaniya area where he will interact with children of a primary school, aided by the non-profit organization “Room to Read” and will inaugurate a library there.

To mark the Prime Minister's birthday, medical camps will be set up at 68 locations across the district and 68 major spots will be illuminated with lamps. Special prayer services will also be held in 68 temples in the district for the well-being of the Prime Minister.

Later PM Modi will interact with students of Kashi Vidyapeeth and children assisted by them, on the premises of Diesel Locomotive Works (DLW).

On the 18th, at BHU Amphitheatre, the Prime Minister will inaugurate or lay the Foundation Stone for various development projects, cumulatively worth more than Rs. 500 crore. Among the projects to be inaugurated are Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for Puraani Kashi; and an Atal Incubation Centre at BHU. Among the projects for which the Foundation Stone will be laid, is the Regional Ophthalmology Centre at BHU. The Prime Minister will also address the gathering.

Home minister Rajnath Singh, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley and Information and Broadcasting Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore have greeted the Prime Minister on his Birthday.

In his message, Rajnath Singh said under PM Modi's leadership India has grown tremendously and became the 6th largest economy of the world. He said PM Modi is a man of vision and action who is working assiduously to fulfill the dream of New India.

Arun Jaitley wished that may the Prime Minister continue to render for many more years his exceptional services to the nation and guide the country to its glory.

In his message, Rajyavardhan Rathore said in his efficient leadership, India has always been on the path of progress.
