Grounding to its roots of rich culture and tradition, PM Modi lays foundation of #BadaltaBanaras by inaugurating developmental projects

Varanasi, September 18: Echoing sounds of rich culture and tradition, holy water of the Ganga makes the land of Varanasi a pure and pious place. By initiating and evaluating developmental projects in the state of Uttar Pradesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for developmental projects worth Rs 550 Crores. These projects inaugurated include Integrated Power Development Scheme (IPDS) for Puraani Kashi and Atal Incubation Centre at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also the foundation stones were laid was the Regional Ophthalmology Centre at BHU. Addressing the public rally, PM Modi, at first thanked the people of the state for their blessings to inspire him to work for the betterment of the country. Stating this PM Modi said that in the past four years of governance, the state and the city has seen major changes. The changes have been for the good and betterment of the people and the work done is clearly visible.

 

Emphasizing the vision of creating change, PM Modi said that the change has been created keeping the old identity and heritage of the state intact. Banaras has changed and so as Kashi. This change has deliberately created space for new beginnings keeping the rich culture and tradition intact.

Recalling the time when he was an MP in his Lok Sabha Constituency, PM Modi resonated by saying that people in the city needed change and the change can be seen now. Many projects have been covered under completion with Banaras running a number of road projects within the Manduadih flyovers work been completed on the Ganga River, the completion of the Jetty Bridge, Ramnagar and widening the Adhra bridge for several decades has also been completed.

 

Adjoining the airport facility in the state, the number of tourists has been increased. By becoming a smart city, Banaras has adapted ways to modernize transportation. In today’s scenario, Kashi has emerged as a health hub center. The trauma center in BHU will help save many lives with it's modernized and specialized facilities to treat people. In this regard, BHU has also dealt an agreement with AIIMS to set up a world-class health institute.

 

Being proud of our ancient culture and civilization as well as our attraction towards future technology, PM Modi said that the foundation of Vedic Science Centre and Atal Incubation Centre will give a major boost to technology.

PM Modi later said that BHU's incubation Centre will work to deliver new energy for start-ups in the coming time, with the youth coming in large numbers as 80 start-up applications from all over the region have come to join and 20 start-up centers for Banaras has been taken into consideration.

 

Taking a jibe at the previous government, PM Modi said that Kashi was left after the mercy of Lord Shiva for development but this government is making efforts to raise the living standards of every section of Varanasi. Kashi is now involved in select cities in the country where all facilities are available. To avail these facilities to all, the government has also started its work to boon 40,000 homes with pipeline and the work for the same in underway from Allahabad to Banaras.
