Taher Shabbir to portray Sangram Singh in Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika

Mumbai, Sept 19: Famous television personality Taher Shabbir is all set to become a part of the world of Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. If reports are anything to go by, Taher will be donning the character of Sangram Singh, a crucial historical figure with reference to the 1857 rebellion against the British establishment.

As quoted by Mumbai Mirror, expressing happiness over the collaboration, Taher said that he is keen to work with Kangana. Taher, a prominent face in the television industry was last seen in Shah Rukh Khan's 'Fan' and Taapsee Pannu's 'Naam Shabana'.

Manikarnika’s shoot is going at bricks pace where Kangana is working on climax portion and two crucial songs. After Sonu Sood’s exit, makers of Manikarnika has teamed up with actor Zeeshan Ayyub. He will be reshooting the portion of Sadashiv Narayan Rao. Kirsh Jagarlamudi’s prestigious period drama will hit the screen on January 25.
