BJP misusing Central agencies against Congress leaders: Karnataka Minister DK Shivakumar

Bengaluru, Sept 20: Days after Enforcement Directorate’s move, senior Congress leader and Karnataka irrigation Minister DK Shivakumar accused BJP of political vendetta. speaking to the media, Shivakumar claimed that state BJP leaders were trying hard to destabilize Congress –JD(S) coalition.

Responding to the case registered by the Enforcement Directorate in connection with Hawala transactions and reported money laundering, the Minister stated that central agencies are being used to harass Congress leaders. He went on saying that, under the patronage of central leadership,  members of the opposition party with the help of money and muscle power are bribing congress lawmakers.

On September 18, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has registered a money laundering and tax evasion case against DKS. Shivakumar is Congress strongman and key Cabinet Minister in HD Kumaraswamy led Karnataka. He was instrumental in managing Congress MLA during the high-voltage drama of trust vote in Karnataka assembly.

Today, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy called on Shivakumar was admitted to the hospital after the complaint of food poisoning.
