New Delhi, Sept 26: Launching a blistering attack on Finance Secretary Hasmukh Adhia, Senior BJP leader Subramanian Swamy urged Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley to take strict legal action against the top officer.

In an official communication, Swamy alleged Adhia of diluting graft cases against the economic offenders like Nirav Modi, Mehul Choksi. He went on saying that Hasmukh Adhia is the only officer who is weakening the anti-grant policy of the central government.

Commenting on Adhia’s alleged links with Chidambaram and Sonia Gandhi, Swamy asked minister to book top officer Under Section 197 of CrPC and Section 19 Prevention of Corruption Act.

As quoted by ANI, Swamy blamed Adhia for pressuring Revenue Service Officers who were probing the matter of economic offenses. On October 4, the former Janata Party Chief will file a litigation in the Supreme Court. On several occasions, Swamy took a dig at Finance Secretary Hasmukh Adhia and challenged his working style.
