Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy negates mass defection reports; says government is stable

Bengaluru, Sept 26: Refuting the reports of mass defection by Congress and JD(S) lawmakers, Karnataka Chief Minister HD Kumaraswamy said that the coalition government is not under any kind of threat.

Speaking to the reporters, Kumaraswamy clarified that no Congress and JD(S) MLAs will join the camp of BJP. He asserted that the Congress-JD(S) alliance will complete the stint of 5 years.

Terming media reports as rumors spread by the principal opposition party, the Chief Minister said that BJP is trying to destabilize the Karnataka government.

Earlier, former Chief Minister and Co-ordination Committee in-charge Siddaramaiah had denied the reports on Congress lawmakers.
