New Delhi, Sept 27: Launching a blistering attack on Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Robert Vadra in connection with the Rafale deal, BJP Spokesperson Sambit Patra said that recent statements of Vadra have exposed the ill motive of Congress-led UPA government.

Speaking to the media, Patra dubbed Robert Vadra as the de-facto Chief of Congress and sought an explanation from Congress President Rahul Gandhi.

“Congress President Rahul Gandhi is keeping mum on factual issues raised by BJP, then how come Mr. Vadra is responding to the same,” Patra asked.

Referring to the stint of UPA government, the BJP leader alleged that the crucial Rafale deal was put to hold just because the Congress party did not find the suitable deal. On this occasion, the BJP spokesperson also questioned the involvement of Sanjay Bhandari, a close aide of Robert Vadra in Rafale negotiations.

Earlier, Robert Vadra in a Facebook post had refuted the charges levelled by the ruling party. He stated that BJP unnecessarily coining his name in the controversial Rafale deal.
