New York, Sept 28: Veteran economist and former Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog Arvind Panagariya on Thursday lauded Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandra Babu Naidu’s development policies.

Impressed with Naidu’s speech at Columbia University, Panagariya took to twitter and said, “An exhilarating experience listening to the talk by AP Chief Minister on Technology and Governance. Doubtful that any state in the United States is doing what Shri @ncbn is doing in Andhra to prepare for the 4th Industrial Revolution.”

“Andhra is growing at double-digit rates under Naidu," Panagariya, noted. During his speech at Columbia University, the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister briefed students about the development initiatives and various platforms crafted by the state government.

Responding to Panagariya’s compliment Naidu wrote, “An opportunity not identified is an opportunity wasted. The 4th Industrial Revolution brings a golden chance for us to take steps that can transform the lives of our citizens and bring the global community closer. Let's grow together with knowledge-sharing, peace, and harmony.

Arvind Panagariya was the first Vice Chairman of NITI Aayog, a central government think tank on public policy. He was handpicked by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In 2017, citing personal commitment, he opted out from the top job of NITI Aayog.
