PM Modi inaugurates Parakram Parv, pays homage to martyrs at Konark War Memorial

Jodhpur, September 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has participated in the Unified Commanders' Conference in Jodhpur, Rajasthan today. Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, MoS for Defence Subhash Bhamre, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and commanders of all three wings of Indian armed forces are also participating in the conference.

 

PM Modi was accorded guard of honour at Jodhpur Airforce Station on arrival this morning. He also inaugurated an exhibition of the Indian army.

After reaching Jodhpur, Prime Minister arrived at war memorial of Konark Corps , where he paid homage to martyred soldiers of 1965 and 1971 wars. After this, PM Modi inaugurated an exhibition" ‘Parakram Parv’ at Jodhpur Military Station, showcasing the might of Indian Army and its contribution in Nation Building.

He paid homage to martyrs at Konark War Memorial. In the visitor’s book, the Prime Minister wrote that the country is proud of the Armed Forces who are dedicated and committed to protecting the Motherland. He also recalled and paid homage to the braves who have made the supreme sacrifice, and are symbols of inspiration, for generations.

Konark Corps is organizing this three days exhibition on Indian Army’s Combat Capability on the occasion of second anniversary of Surgical Strikes. PM Modi observed military weapons and equipment displayed at the exhibition.
