Venkaiah Naidu to speak to Diaspora in US to commemorate Vivekananda’s Chicago address
New Delhi, Sept 5: India’s Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu will be participating in the World Hindu Congress scheduled to be held at Chicago from September 7-9, 2018 to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s address to the World Parliament of Religions in 1893, a Washington-based news agency report said quoting Abhay Asthana, Convener of World Hindu Congress on Monday.
This will be the maiden visit of the Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu to the US where he is expected to address the people of Indian origin in Chicago to commemorate the 125th anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s historic speech at the World Parliament of Religions in September 1893.
The event will be held on the last day of the World Hindu Congress, which begins on September 7 and ends September 9.
