New Delhi, Jan 10: Ahead of the crucial Lok Sabha election, Congress party today appointed Shiela Dikshit, former Delhi Chief Minister for the top job of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee Chief.

The longest-serving Chief Ministers of Delhi will look after the political affairs of the state unit. Besides Dikshit, leaders like Devendra Yadav, Rajesh Lilothia, Haroon Yusuf will assist the three-time Chief Minister.
The 80-year old leader will replace Ajay Maken who recently stepped down from the post citing personal reasons. In 2013 Delhi assembly polls, Shiela Dikshit lost to Aam Aadmi Party’s Arvind Kejriwal.
