Plea filed against Balasaheb Thackeray memorial

Mumbai, Jan 10: A plea challenging the proposed Balasaheb Thackeray memorial has been filed in the Bombay High Court. In a petition, social activist Santosh Daundkar argued that construction plan cleared for Balasaheb Thackeray memorial at Mayor's bungalow in Dadar area is against the coastal regulatory rules.
As quoted by ANI, Daundkar also demanded revocation of orders for the change of land use (CLU) of the said property which also comes under the green zone. The petitioner also expressed concern over the heritage structures in Mayor's Bungalow. Earlier, BJP-Shiv Sena Coalition government had announced the construction of Shiv Sena Chief Balasaheb Thackeray memorial at Mayor's bungalow.
