Former UK PM Tony Blair calls on CM Devendra Fadanvis

Mumbai, Jan 10: Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Tony Blair Thursday called on Chief Minister Devendra AFadanvis as a goodwill gesture and discussed about various development activities and facilities in Maharashtra.

The meeting held at Sahyadri Guest House was attended by CM’s Principal Secretary Bhushan Gagarani, and other officials.

Discussions were held on agriculture, industry, basic infrastructure facilities, progress in IT sector and other issues. Chief Minster told the visiting dignitary that metro work in Maharashtra is going on at a fast pace and by 2022 it will be completed heralding a better change in the state and capital Mumbai.

He also told the former British PM that the Prime Minster Narendra Modi’s “Swachh Bharat’ program is being vigorously implemented in the state on a big scale. Besides, better work is done in horticulture, water conservation, and farming sectors. Blair obtained detail information of major projects of Maharashtra and evinced interest in working on them through Tony Blair Institute. The Chief Minster readily welcomed this proposal.
