An ambitious project by Indian Railway: World-class station at Kevadia for visit to Statue of Unity

Kevadia, Gujrat, Jan 10: Every day the Indian Railway is achieving new heights with hard work and advanced technology. Indian Railway decided to build ‘world-class station at Kevadia to enable the tourist to visit ‘Statue of Unity’.

Kevadia, the small town became famous in a bat of an eye because of Statue of Unity, the pride project of India, the 182 m high statue of Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel, who known as ‘Iron Man of India’. Now this place became a tourist attraction.

For the convenience of tourist and development of the place, India Railway took this decision. Earlier, in the Gujarat visit, President Ram Nath Kovind laid the foundation stone of Railway station at Kevadia.

Under this project, 50 Km Railway track will be constructed from Dabhoi to Kevadia. On this project, Indian Railway is going to spend 663.29 crores. This track ultimately joined to Delhi and Mumbai.

Devendra Kumar, DRM of Vadodara division said, “The station at Kevadia is going to become first ultra-modern, World-class station with Green Building with all modern amenities for tourists. In this station, the wastewater management will be done by special techniques. Solar panels will be used for electrification of the station.”

This project will be the first step towards special efforts for transformation of stations of the Indian Railway.
