#GlobalSkillSummit : Jharkhand hands over one lakh employment letters to youth

Ranchi, January 10: In Jharkhand, one lakh six thousand jobs appointment letters have been given to the youths today at the Global Skill Summit at Ranchi. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Chief Minister Raghubar Das, Governor Draupadi Murmu were present in the summit amidst a large number of people. Today diplomatic representatives of 17 countries were present at the function besides representative from numerous private companies who have come to offer the jobs.

 

“During the Momentum Jharkhand summit in 2018 about 26,000 job offers were given to skill youths from the State in private sectors which created a benchmark in the skill ecosystem of the country. The Global Skill Summit 2019 will acknowledge the fact how the State has given over 1,00,000 jobs to its skilled youths,” said CEO, JSDMS, Amar Jha.

 

MD of JSDMS, Ravi Ranjan, added that on account of State’s focus on skilling, accolades were received by Government of Jharkhand from various quarters and succeeded its inclusion in ‘Limca Book of Records’ highest number of placement offers to its youth in a single day.

The mega event comprised the main function in the first half of the day and two technical seminars in the later half. Also an exhibition will be organized at the venue where skill providers and recruiters will put up 30 different stalls for the youth. The topics on technical seminars were though leadership for scale, speed and innovation for future skill readiness and integrating formal education in skill system.

The programme was attended by the youths, who are currently being trained under the skill development mission and around 1500 women from self-help groups from across the State.
