Sankranthi Bonanza: Andhra Pradesh govt doubles welfare pension

Amaravati, Jan 11: Making the occasion of Sankranthi festival, Nara Chandra Babu Naidu led Andhra Pradesh government today doubled the existing amount of welfare pension.
According to media reports, the old age pensions has been increased from Rs 1000 to Rs 2000, This move will benefit near about 50 lakh beneficiaries.
In 2014, after assuming the office of the Chief Minister, Babu had increased old age pension from Rs 200 to Rs 1,000.
