New Delhi, January 12: “Instead of maliciously pointing fingers at others for such terrorist incidents, Pakistan needs to look inwards and undertake credible action against support to terrorism and terror infrastructure in its territories,” said Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj slamming Pakistan’s fabricated false allegations of India’s involvement in the November 2018 terror attack on the Chinese consulate in Karachi.

Knowing Pakistan’s illogical allegations by pinpointing India, Karachi Police chief Amir Ahmed Shaikh had alleged during a press conference that Indian external intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) had played a key role in the attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi. He alleged that the planning of the attack was done in Afghanistan and it was carried out with help from RAW. India, however, has dubbed the allegations as false.

The Ministry of External Affairs hit back on Pakistan stating, “We've seen statements in the Pakistani media attributed to police chief of Karachi making false allegations against India for terrorist attack on the Chinese Consulate in Karachi in November, 2018. We completely reject these fabricated and scurrilous attempts to levy accusations on India.”

MEA Sushma Swaraj slamming Pakistan said that they should stop pointing fingers at other and instead start to act against terrorists operating from their soil. “Instead of maliciously pointing fingers at others for such terrorist incidents, Pakistan needs to look inwards and undertake credible action against support to terrorism and terror infrastructure in its territories.”

In the November 2018 attack, three heavily armed terrorists had tried to barge into the Chinese consulate located in the ‘high security zone’ of Clifton’s Block-4. However, they were killed before they could enter the facility. Two cops and two visa applicants were also killed in the incident. The outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) had claimed ownership for the attack.

The Karachi Police Chief claimed that the motive of the attack was to sabotage the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and create tensions between Pakistan and China.
