Indian Army give a fitting reply if provoked: General Rawat’s stern warning on Army Day

New Delhi, Jan 15: On #ArmyDay, a tribute to the brave soldiers of the #IndianArmy.

Every single one of them is the epitome of matchless valour and boundless determination; and embodies the motto of the Indian Army: Service Before Self.

While addressing the gathering General Bipin Rawat said, we will continue with the anti-insurgency operation. We are tracking our enemies closely. Will give a fitting reply if provoked. Our western neighbours continue their support for terrorism. We have made the moral dominance over our enemies.

We continuously review our boundaries. He assured our Jawans won’t compromise in any condition. We follow the instructions given by the government. In Jammu and Kashmir’s interim areas with the collaboration of other forces, we resolved many issues and terrorists face heavy losses. Because of this, we could successfully organise Panchayat Elections and Amarnath Yatra in peace.

General Singh urged that we should use social media with responsibility.

Teenagers are being trained by terrorists. But we don’t want those youngsters should live in fear on the gunpoint of terrorists. Our neighbours provide ammunition and training to these youngsters.

We are bound to train the police personnel in the Naxalite areas. The security situation is in control in Northeast areas.

Army Day is observed on January 15 in India. On this day in 1949, Field Marshal Kodandera M Cariappa took over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Sir Francis Butcher, the last British Commander-in-Chief.
