Kollam, Kerala, Jan 15: “Once in Kollam, One never miss home” PM Modi expressed his feeling in the Malayalam proverb while inaugurating various development projects in Kollam.

 

PM Narendra Modi today visited Kerala for the inauguration of Kollam bypass. Kollam bypass on NH-66 is 13 km long two-lane bypass with a project cost of 352 crores.

CM of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan Tweeted on this occasion, “For Kollam, it is long cherished dream come true. When this government assumed office, only 23% of work was in the finished state. We kept our word of completing it in 1000 days and finished the remaining 76% in 2.5 years.

Addressing this inauguration, PM Narendra Modi said, “ I feel pleased to visit God’s own country.”

He said, “ we often see that infrastructure projects get stalled for various reasons. Public money wasted due to cost and time over-runs. But my government gave top priority to infrastructure in Kerala.”

He added when we construct roads and bridges, we do not only connect town and villages but also connect aspiration and achievements, optimism with opportunities and hope to happiness.

He informed we sanctioned new funds of 7,500 crores for the fisheries sector.

He stated, “the last man in the queue is my priority. Tourism is the hallmark of Kerala’s economic development and principal contributor in the state economy. We inaugurated 7 new projects for Kerala tourism development. today I will inaugurate a project at Shree Padmanabhaswamy Temple at Thiruvananthapuram. I will also seek blessings from Lord Padmanabhaswamy for the welfare of people of Kerala and other parts of India.”

He expressed, “Once in Kollam, one never miss home, I share the same feeling. I thanks people of Kollam and Kerala for their love and affection. I pray for develop and strong Kerala.”
