“Uri” strikes the audiences with higher than ever “Josh”

Pune, January 17: “How’s the Josh?” “High Sir” “Jai Hind” Every theatre in India is screaming these words for almost a week now. Reason? “Uri: The Surgical Strike!”

 

It is not a common thing in the theatres that we see everyone from a 6 year old child to an 87 year old, standing for a “Jai Hind” tribute to their nation. But, “Uri: The Surgical Strike” has brought every Indian cinema watcher on the edge of their seats and people cannot leave without feeling overwhelmed with pride for the nation and the army.

 

“Uri” is based on the true events of the Uri attacks in 2016 and how the Indian Army took the fight to the enemy, in its most successful covert operation till date, with one and only one objective, to retaliate their fallen heroes. The surgical strike was carried out by the Indian Army on seven terrorist launch-pads across the Line of Control on September 29, 2016 as a confrontation to the terrorist attack on army camp at Uri earlier that month.

 

 

The film was making rounds even before its release as many decorated persons from India were sharing their excitement about the film. Proving true to all the excitement, the movie has become the first Box Office hit of year 2019 with a whopping collection of around Rs 63.31 crore in only 6 days of its release.

  

The film is cashing not only at the Box Office but also gaining praises from dignitaries in India. For a significant example, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal could not even resist mentioning the film in the cabinet.

 

“Uri: The Surgical Strike” written and directed by Aditya Dhar, features Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautam, Mohit Raina and Paresh Rawal in Pivotal roles. The performances of the actors and works done by the director and cinematographers are getting applauded from the audiences. The male lead, Vicky Kaushal has been getting flooded with praises for his phenomenal performance in the war drama. Kaushal has also been mentioning his gratitude towards the character from time to time.
