Kupwara, Jan 2: On the first day of New year, Army Chief General Bipin Rawat visited the line of control and vicinity to review the security situation in Kashmir Valley.

Army chief visited Kupwara in Kashmir valley to spend new year with Chinar Corp Troops. Rawat encouraged all ranks to continue to work with the same zeal and enthusiasm and wished them and their families, very best of the new year.

On his two-day visit in Kashmir valley, He along with Northern Army Commander, LT. Gen. Ranbir Singh and Chinar Corps Commander, Lt-Gen. A K Bhatt visited frontier of Kupwara district.

While interaction with Jawans, he informed about recent counter infiltration operations, he also appreciated alertness and preparedness of forces along the LoC.

 

During this visit, he also conversed with Senior officials of Police and other security forces. During this interaction, Army Chief discussed principle internal security situations and strategy of the forces.

Rawat addressed the contribution of the other security forces and appreciated the cooperation and synergy among all the agencies.

During this, he stated that the cooperation and synergy are the most critical aspects of successful counter infiltration and Anti-terrorist operations.

On Wednesday, he will be visiting frontiers along the LoC, where he will communicate with Jawans stationed there. He will also be taking a review of counter synergy operations and operational preparations.
