PM Modi exudes confidence of winning 2019 General Elections

New Delhi, January 2: "Congress people claim that Congress is a thought, a culture. When I say Congress-mukt, I want to rid the country from this culture and this sort of thinking. And I say that Congress too needs to be mukt of this Congress culture,", said PM Narendra Modi in an interview to a news agency, being confident over doing well at the upcoming general elections inspite of certain losses in the state polls. We are confident and are moving ahead. In 2019, if there is one party which the country trusts and is connected with the people, it is the BJP. It is going to be masses versus the alliance. Modi is just a manifestation of public love and blessings." he said in relation.
 
Addressing on the variety of issues, being political, economical, social, religious and cultural, Modi on the occasion of new year instigation, he urged people to come together and make positivity viral. In his recent last episode of 'Mann ki Baat', he expressed the hope to stroll over the path of advancements and progress throughout 2019.
 
On BJP losing five states in the Assembly Elections in 2018, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the party is discussing what was lacking. "Telangana and Mizoram, nobody gave BJP any chance. In Chhattisgarh a clear mandate was given, BJP lost. But in 2 states there was a hung assembly. Secondly,15 years of anti-incumbency was being fought by our people. We are discussing what was lacking," he said.
 
Speaking of the demonetisation, where the opposition party claims it to be a major collapse, Modi said that teh decision was not a jhatka, and that the people were warned in advance a year before. "We had informed people that if you have such wealth (black money), you can deposit it, pay penalties and you will be helped out. However, they thought Modi too would behave like others so very few came forward voluntarily," he said.
 
 
"GST decision has also proved to be a boon to the nation as more than thousand items have been turned to zero tax rate bracket and many have become exempt. In the UPA rule, the tax rate applied was around 30%, the hidden tax being charged separately. GST procedures have simplified the tax system avoiding double taxation.", Modi explained over the GST decision. "All the decisions regarding GST are made in the GST council in the presence of all the concerned state ministers and not by the Government of India alone. This is a new procedure implemented and needs time to be given.", he added further.
 
On the growing chorus for bringing an ordinance to build a Ram temple at the disputed site in Ayodhya, Modi said the party would wait for the judicial process to get over. "After the judicial process is over, whatever will be our responsibility as a government, we are ready to make all efforts. The ordinance for triple talaq was also brought after the Court's judgment," he said. The Babri Masjid-Ram Janmabhoomi case is slated to be heard in the Supreme Court on January 4. "We have said in our BJP manifesto that a solution would be found to this issue under the ambit of the Constitution," the PM said.
 
According to the Prime Minister, middle-class society have been a strong backbone of the nation and hence, it is the Government's responsibility to think of them first and upright. "The inflation rate which was at the altitude of 18% in the reigns of UPA government, is now brought down to 3-4%, directly benefiting the middle class. Also, most of the government reforms and schemes like Ayushman Bharat Yojana, Udaan Yojana, are dedicated toward the aspirations of these people.
 
Citing on the farm loan waivers, he opined that waivers should be definitely done if it helps but that is not a long-term solution to the problem of farmer distress. "What lacks in our system is that the farmers become debt-ridden and the governments repeat vicious cycle of elections and loan waivers. So the solution to this is to empower the farmers from seed to market and give all facilities to them making them stable and robust," he addressed.
 
Stressing over the India Pakistan issue, Modi asserted that India, be it in the reign of UPA or NDA, have never opposed to have a dialogue. According to our consistent policy, we are ready to talk on all the issues upright as India has strong grounds. It is just that terrorism and cross terrrism shall be ceased.", he concluded saying. "We have honestly tried to stroll the nation on the new developmental heights. Although not satisfied with the current progress, we are in the right direction. I have worked happily for the nation and will intend to work in a true spirit always, taking India to new altitude.", he said.
