#JabTheyMet..! Bollywood had a fan moment meeting PM Modi; Josh with memorable pictures

Mumbai, January 20: When Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked ‘How is the josh?’ the move was cheered with a huge round of applause by the audience as they replied to it saying "High Sir!" The inauguration of National Museum of Indian Cinema in Mumbai on Saturday was attended by many actors, singers and personalities from the entertainment industry. The presence of the Prime Minister was so high that the actors left no stones unturned to capture the moment.

Chipping in some moments captured during the event, PM Modi shared some unseen pictures by captioning it, "#Mumbai is home to a wonderful National Museum of Indian Cinema. Go visit it whenever you can!"

Veteran singer Asha Bhosle, actor Manoj Kumar, Jeetendra and Aamir Khan and others can be seen posing with the Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In fact, in one of the pictures, PM Modi can also be seen posing with the sculpture of Mahatma Gandhi.

 

Sharing the picture on Instagram, comedian Kapil Sharma can be seen greeting PM Modi, he said that it’s great knowing his inspiring ideas and progressive views about the film industry and the nation at large. Interestingly, he also praised the PM's great sense of humour, as he captioned the post saying, "Respected pm Sh @narendramodi ji, it was nice meeting you and great knowing ur inspiring ideas and progressive views about our film industry and our nation. N sir I must say you have a great sense of humour too! Regards."

The event was attended by several personalities from Bollywood including Asha Bhosle, AR Rahman, Randhir Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Parineeti Chopra, Karan Johar, Kangana Ranaut, Ramesh Sippy, Rohit Shetty, Randhir Kapoor, Boney Kapoor, Raj Kumar Santoshi, Jeetendra, Aanand L Rai, Badshah, Gauri Shinde, Asha Parekh, Divya Dutta, Poonam Dhillon, Imtiaz Ali, and Kunal Kohli, and others. 

Talking about the museum, the gallery is spread across two adjacent buildings that will not only cater to the needs of film critics and enthusiasts but also enthral the visitors through a varied number of visuals, and multimedia expositions about India’s century-long cinematic journey. The creation of the museum has been guided by the Museum Advisory Committee headed by Shyam Benegal, and an innovation committee headed by Prasoon Joshi was also constituted to provide an upgrade to NMIC. 


 

Recently, Filmmaker Karan Johar thanked PM Modi for the meeting by posting the photo on his social media accounts. “The film industry would also like to send huge thanks for the GST reduction in movie ticket prices that was implemented recently! Thank you so much for your time, Sir!” he added in a post.
