Varanasi, Jan 21: The celebration of Indianness, the bond shared by each and every Indian and NRI was going to strengthen today onwards on 3 days PBD (Pravasi Bhartiya Divas) Convention in ancient and divine land of Varanasi.

Today, on the first day of the convention, the ‘Youth Pravasi Bhartiya Divas’ and ‘Uttar Pradesh Pravasi Divas’ celebrations are going on. On this occasion, several honorary guests shared their views.

 First Plenary Session- Engagement with Younger Members of Indian Diaspora
 
This session has panelist like Minister of Youth Affairs, Rajwardhan Rathod, Dnyaneshwar Muley, VPA secretary,
Minister of state V.K.Singh and other dignitaries of Indian Diaspora. 
Rajwardhan Rathod said, "Youth is same everywhere. The whole purpose of coming together is to integrate with each other, sync with each other, try and help each other to move forward. We need to establish connects with each other, so this sort of learning and living together continued."
MEA Spokesperson Raveesh Kumar summerized earlier conferences and efforts in this discussion through presentation and stated that "these sessions are itself provided us an opportunity to look at how we can ask our missions to reach out to you, to younger members of the Indian diaspora in the much more better way."

MEA Sushma Swaraj – addressing Youth diaspora-

“This PBD convention is unique and special, it is not 3-day PBD as Yogi Adityanathji said, it is 6-day PBD with the inclusion of Kumbh Mela and Republic Day Parade.

We all know, India has the biggest diaspora in the world with 31 million people i.e 3.1 crore Indians are living in abroad.

“What marks us all of you is shared common identity-of Indianness and a shared common origin- India, land of your forefathers. It is to celebrate these shared bonds that we all are gathered here.

"The success of each and every one of our emigrants is a testimonial to their unbeatable spirit, their dedication, and their patience and forbearance in the face of extreme hardships."

“The Youth Pravasi Divas is not only about discovering our roots and heritage but also about learning and sharing the experiences. We want our young diaspora to engage and participate in transforming India.”

For all my NRI friends, you must know and experience that “the help is just one tweet away.”

Now with a new model of development, India is the land of startups and innovations. So I welcome you with wholehearted to this celebration.

H.E. Kaval Singh Bakshi, Member of Parliament, New Zealand address-

 

First Mr. Bakshi congratulates and appreciate the Sushma Swaraj ji and CM Yogi Adityanath for this programme and gave respect to each and every one.

He said, “New Zealand is the land of Milk and Honey. So we can extend our cooperation and share for the betterment of the agricultural sector. We can provide the information to our farmers about agriculture.”

Further, he said, UP with background of Agriculture, I request Yogi Adityanath Ji to come and visit New Zealand and see how we can collaborate in this sector.”

He said, “We should proud of our heritage and culture. We are the best in the World. You, youth can lead us in the future. You are our future.”

Further, he presented his Wishlist in front of Sushma Swaraj, he stated, we would like to have dual citizenship and if it is possible, we also like to contribute in the lawmaking process of India.

“I truly appreciate India for the respect we are receiving as “Pravasi Bharatiya.”

I am so happy that this is an event for the youth of Indian Origin all over the world. He quoted Gandhiji, “Be the change you want to see in the world, as the people of Indian Origin across the world, we really have a chance to impact the world and change it. It is a matter of pride that so many big companies have CEOs who have Indian Origin.

“It is also an illustration of the power of our Indian heritage and values we brought up with if u currently see the United States, three ladies in the politics all being considered as candidates of the presidency are from Indian origin.”

In the last, he cited Hindi sang, “Kuch to log kahenge, Logoka Kam he khehna” which the message of working is the only solution.

CM of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath Address and welcome

 

First CM welcomed all for the event. He said, “This year we are celebrating this convention on ancient and divine land of Varanasi. This year we are also going to be the part of the ancient and spiritual peaceful gathering of Kumbh Mela.”

“This year’s celebration is special because for the first time we are celebrating Pravasi Bharatiya Divas for 3 days. I welcome you all to Kashi, and enjoy the hospitality of Kashi.”

Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports, Rathvardhan Rathod started the inaugural session with a speech on behalf of Youth and sports ministry of India.

 

CPV India’s secretary Dnyaneshwar Muley extended a warm welcome to the Participants at Youth PBD.
