R Madhavan turns director for Nambi Narayanan biopic

Mumbai, January 22: Multi-lingual actor Ranganathan Madhavan is all set to helm the most awaited ' movie 'Rocketry: The Nambi Effect', based on the life of veteran ISRO Scientist Nambi Narayanan.

Madhavan who is donning the lead role will be directing the science drama after the exit on Ananth Mahadevan from the trilingual project. According to media reports, veteran filmmaker Ananth Mahadevan due to unavoidable personal reasons opted out from the top job.

As quoted by Times of India, Confirming the development, Maddy said, “Ananth Mahadevan is an extremely talented filmmaker. However, owing to unavoidable circumstances and certain pressing commitments he could no longer direct 'Rocketry”. Expressing happiness over the ongoing work, Madhavan hoped that Rocketry will make every Indian proud.

Last year, Makers of R Madhavan’s ‘Rocketry - The Nambi Effect’ had unveiled the teaser of the Multilingual biopic. Under the banner of Tricolor Films in Association with Vijay Moolan Talkies, Madhavan will recreate the story of India’s unsung hero. Considering the scale of the project, makers have decided to presents Rocketry in Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu.

Madhavan’s Rocketry is reportedly based on Nambi Narayanan’s autobiography Ormakalude Brahmanapadam. The ISRO scientist came under the scanner for his alleged involvement in spying, later charges were quashed by the apex court.

The ace actor today took to Instagram and shared some working stills from the sets. “ After 14 hrs on the chair. Who is who is WHO??” he wrote.
