Relentless efforts and selfless service, Indian Army bring peace for people in the Kashmir Valley

Srinagar, January 30: A patriotic heart, love for India and the zeal to protect our motherland; Indian Army has aptly proven to be the real heroes for all. Slaying terrorists and giving a befitting reply to the enemies, our soldiers commendable attitude has rightly demonstrated that they truly deserve all the love and respect from the people.

 

Lauding the exemplary synergy amongst all security forces, the Northern Army Commander Lt Gen Ranbir Singh complimented the troops for their relentless efforts and selfless service in bringing peace and tranquillity in the Valley. The Northern Army Commander visited the Kashmir Valley on Wednesday to review the security situation.

 

Working selflessly for the nation, Indian forces gave a befitting reply to the unprovoked ceasefire violation by the Pakistani troops. The Indian Army retaliated strongly as the troops exchanged gunfire along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district. Massive retaliation by the Indian troops was given the same day when Army chief Gen Bipin Rawat announced that the Army won’t hesitate from taking strong action against inimical designs of Pakistan on the LoC. Seven posts and bunkers of Pakistan army have been destroyed in retaliation by the Indian side overnight.

 

Achieving one of the biggest success, the Indian Army had wiped out all the terrorist in Baramulla making it the first district with no surviving militant in Kashmir valley. Belonging to the Lashkar-e-Toiba, the slain terrorists were identified as Mohsin Mushtaq, Suhaib Farooq Akhoon and Nasir Ahmad Darzi.

 

The Army Commander was briefed by Chinar Corps Commander Lt Gen A K Bhatt at Badami Bagh Cantonment on the major operational, informational, logistical and administrative aspects pertaining to the Corps and about the current situation, including recent counter terrorist operations.
