Imphal, Jan 4: Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation of key development projects to the nation in Manipur.

On this occasion, Manipur CM Biren Singh emphasized NDA government’s achievement in developmental activities in the Northeast.

On this occasion, PM Modi inaugurated development projects like water supply scheme in Lambul, Infra development of Dhanamanjuri University, flood lighting at Hockey stadium at Khuman Lampak sport complex and main stadium of this complex, AstroTurf football at Langjing Achouba, Imphal West, 400 KV Double circuit Silchar-Imphal line to nation dedicated to nation, Integrated check post in Moreh, Dolaithabi Barrage Project, FCI Food storage godown in Sawombung, Buffer water reservoir at Shirul village in Ukhrul, Upgradation of water supply for Churachanpur zone 3, Ecotourism complex at Thangal Surung, Kangpokpi, Integrated tourist destination at Tupul, Noney.

 

On this occasion, PM Modi said, “Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose made Northeast as the gateway of India’s Independence, now we are working to transform this into “Door of New India.”

“With this vision, we inaugurated more than Rs. 15,000 crores developmental projects. This project will ease your life and benefit everyone.”

He stated that the past government created distance between Delhi and Northeast, but we took Delhi in your doorstep.

PM Modi visited 30 times Northeast in 4.5 years.

He said, “The 18,000 villages were electrified in record time, the last village which got electrified is Leisang from Kangpokpi district.

About the integrated check post in Moreh, Modi said, it is not the only checkpost, it is a center of hundreds of facilities, lies on Indo-Myanmar border, will facilitate traveling and business.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed two rallies in Imphal (Manipur) and Guwahati (Assam) today as part of the BJP’s Outreach Programme in the northeast. Modi is expected to hold 100 rallies ahead of the Lok Sabha elections as part of the BJP’s campaign.

On Thursday, he addressed a public meeting in Punjab’s Gurdaspur. The PM is expected to highlight his party’s achievements in the northeast in his public rallies today.
