One more approach to New India: PM Modi launched various Projects in Maharashtra

Solapur, Jan 9:
Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited Solapur today to launch various developmental projects.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Governor C Vidyasagar Rao were present at the occasion. Gadkari expressed gratitude towards Prime Minister as he was there to lay the foundation stone of this four-lane project on 16th August 2014.

Modi launched the four-lane of Solapur-Osmanabad section of NH-211, underground sewerage system and three sewage treatment plants.



 

Modi commissioned the four-laned 98.717 km Solapur- Tuljapur-Osmanabad section on NH-211 (New NH-52). The Rs 972.50-crore toll road project will improve connectivity between Solapur and the Marathwada region.

Modi also laid the foundation stone for Rs 1811 crore housing project of 30,000 units under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Prime Minister confirmed that he will be there in Solapur again to hand over keys of 30 thousand beneficiaries of PM Aawas Yojana. 



Solapur is known for its viewer community and cotton mills. This is a gift made by Solapurkars for Prime Minister. 

 
 PM assured under UDAN scheme Solapur will soon have Airport which will connect this city to the world.

Modi laid the foundation stone for the Rs 244 crore water supply and sewerage system as part of area-based development in the Solapur smart city area. This project, developed under the smart city mission, is expected to bring about significant improvements in service delivery.

Modi said as we have seen Christian Michel as a median in many defence deals in the past. In future New India will have to be mediate free India.

Prime Minister subdues hearts of gathering by saying “तिळगुळ घ्या गोड गोड बोला” in Marathi as best wishes for Makar Sankranti. “Shree Siddharameshwar Maharaj ki Jay” for the local pilgrimage in Solapur.

He had also commissioned the 765-kV Solapur-Raichur power transmission line then.
