Arrange Special drive to address Tribal welfare issues: Maha CM Devendra Fadnavis to officials

Mumbai, Feb 11: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis today chaired the 50th Meeting of Maharashtra State Tribal Advisory Council and reviewed various programmes related to the welfare of Tribal Community.


 

During this meeting, Fadnavis asked revenue officials to arrange a special time bound campaign in order to provide facilities like 7/12 extracts, forest land rights, and other important issues.

The Chief Minister also reviewed the key areas like PESA implementation, restructuring of schedule tribe area as per 2011 census, financial aid to tribals for agricultural activities, grants for MPSC, UPSC preparation, AshramShala reforms, sports infrastructure, caste validation.

The Chief Minister announced that a subcommittee headed by former Minister Dr. Vijaykumar Gavit will regularly monitor the affairs of Maharashtra State Tribal Advisory Council in order to resolve the issues related to tribal welfare.

On this occasion, Revenue Minister Chandrakant Patil, Tribal Minister Vishnu Sawra, Minister of state Raje Ambrishrao Atram and other members of the TAC were present.
