Hyderabad, Feb 13: Makers of NTR Biopic on Tuesday finally made an official announcement about the release of its second installment. The much-awaited Nandamuri Balakrishna- Vidya Balan starrer NTR Mahanayakudu will hit the screens on February 22.
written and directed by Kirsh Jagarlamudi, the second part will showcase the unprecedented political career of NT Rama Rao as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.
NTR Kathanayakudu which was released on January 9 failed miserably on box-office. First part captured NTR’s journey from a common man to India’s first Super-star. Despite poor collections, the on-screen chemistry of Nandamuri Balakrishna and Vidya Balan got much appreciation from audience and film critics.
NTR’s younger son Nandamuri Balakrishna is donning the character of NT Rama Rao and award-winning actress Vidya Balan is playing the role of Basavtarakam. Baahubali actor Rana Daggubati has been roped in for Chandra Babu Naidu’s part.
Nandamuri Balakrishna’s own banner NBK films in association with Vaaraahi Chalana Chitram and Vishnu Vardhan Induri’s Vibri Media has bankrolled the epic drama. Celebrated Composer MM Keeravani is the music director of the period drama.
