Watch the glimpses of the Bravest Battle ever fought in the teaser of “Kesari”

February 13: Waheguruji de fateh! Vast numbers of Afghani tribesmen ran for their lives as a man in Pagdi gradually raised his sword. Don’t worry.. not in real, but in the teaser of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming period film Kesari. The teaser of the film was released in 3 parts yesterday, gradually increasing the audience’s curiosity.

 

Directed by Anurag Singh, a period war drama, “Kesari” tells the story of Havildar Ishar Singh who participates in the Battle of Saragarhi in which an army of 21 Sikhs fought against 10,000 Afghans in 1897 while yearning for the respect of his estranged daughter.

Akhay Kumar shared the glimpses of the film before the trailer of the film gets unveiled on February 21. Before sharing the teaser, Akshay has also been treating his fans to two new posters of the film.

 

Along with Akshay Kumar in the lead, the film will also feature Parineeti Chopra, Edward Sonnenblick and Bhagyashree.

The teaser is getting positive reactions from fans such as “#kesari gonna rule & will rewrite history of Indian Cinema” with several others.

 

The unbelievably true events of when 21 Sikh soldiers of the British Indian Army went head-to-head with thousands of Afghani tribesmen in Saragarhi in the North-West Frontier Province are been noted as “the bravest battle ever fought”.

The battle has also inspired two other movies, Rajkumar Santoshi’s Battle of Saragarhi, starring Randeep Hooda, and Ajay Devgn’s Sons of Sardars 2.

 

Produced by Dharma Productions, Akshay Kumar and Parineeti Chopra starrer “Kesari” will be released on March 21.
