NaMo biopic: Veteran actor Manoj Joshi roped in for Amit Shah’s character

Mumbai, Feb 14: Multi-lingual actor and veteran artist Manoj Joshi will be essaying the role of BJP National President Amit Shah in Vivek Oberoi starrer "PM Narendra Modi".

Manoj Joshi, a popular name in Hindi, Marathi, and Gujarati entertainment industry shot to fame with his portrayal Chanakya. Expressing happiness over the development, Joshi thanked makers for choosing him for the pivotal role of Amit Shah.


After the successful outing of 'Mary Kom' and 'Sarabjit' filmmaker, Omung Kumar is helming the prestigious project where Vivek Oberoi will be playing the role of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Besides Vivek Oberoi, artists like Zarina Wahab, Prashant Narayanan, Boman Irani, Barkha Bisht Sengupta, Darshan Kumar, Akshat R. Saluja, Anjan Shrivastav, Rajendra Gupta and Yatin Karyekar will be seen in the most anticipated biopic of the year.



The film will be extensively shot in Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh and New Delhi where Modi had spent most of his life. The period drama will trace the untouched events of Narendra Modi’s unprecedented journey. According to media reports, makers are planning to present NaMo biopic in 23 languages.

Last month, Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis had officially launched in the first look poster of the movie. Under the banner of Legend Global studio, Suresh Oberoi in association with Sandip Singh will produce the period drama.
